The Friends of Veterans was started in 2002 by Moss Dahn and Ronesa Revels. Each year a Bike Blessing/Poker Run/Fundraiser is put on, and the proceeds go to the Veterans Assistance Foundation. The Foundation is a non-profit program that is there for our Veterans in need. As quoted by Moss “By different circumstances we could be there”

Our Story
The Friends of Veterans started in 2002 because Vietnam war veteran, Larry (Moss) Dahn wanted to help local veterans with basic needs including housing and substance use treatment. Larry recruited other like-minded individuals, friends, family, and formed the Friends of Veteran – Tomah. Larry’s oath to serve his county did not end when he was honorably discharged from service, and it did not end with his passing. It continues through the volunteers and members of the Friends of Veterans.
